Job summary

Thrive By 5 is a pediatric therapy agency providing early intervention services in New York City. We are seeking strong part-time or full-time Special Education Teachers to work with birth-3 children across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island.

Responsibilities include 1:1 embedded coaching, reviewing IFSP goals, collaboration with Speech Pathologists and Therapists, and completing progress notes. Competitive compensation and benefits for full-time employees are offered.

Qualifications

• MS or MA in Special Education or Students w/Disabilities Birth-2nd certification.
• Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to collaborate with the clinical team and all related service providers on a caseload.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with developmentally delayed children and families using an embedded coaching model to promote generalization/maintenance of goals and enhance child development.
• Provide home and community-based special instruction services, reviewing IFSP goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists to support IFSP goals and objectives.
• Complete session notes and progress reports as required by the early intervention program.
