Early Intervention Specialist, Developmental Specialist

Aspire Early Intervention focuses on a parent coaching model to support caregivers in helping their child reach their developmental milestones.

As an Early Intervention Developmental Specialist, you will be responsible for providing home and community based early intervention services to children birth to three. You will partner with parents/caregivers to ensure services are specifically addressing the priorities identified by the family.

Join our transdisciplinary team providing home-based assessment, treatment, support and education services to families with children birth to 3 years of age on the North Shore.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care for a caseload of children and implement their Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) through case management and home visiting as a member of the transdisciplinary team.
  • Utilize assessment tools to provide developmental evaluations that inform the development of IFSP outcomes.
  • Facilitate small group sessions that encourage early social emotional development and parent support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field)
  • Knowledge of basic stages of Infant / Toddler Child Development
  • Experience working with children 0-5 years
  • Open-minded, culturally competent, and able to interact with families across cultures with diverse values, and beliefs
  • A high level of professionalism and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable with home visiting

Other Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to travel regularly throughout the service area, navigate stairs, carry program materials, and participate in home visits, community visits, and group activities.
  • Ability to work in homes with pets, allergens, and differing home conditions while maintaining a respectful family-centered approach.
  • Must have a valid (within the past two years) physical or Doctor's letter verifying ability to satisfy the above requirements and maintain throughout employment.
  • Emotional Demands: Mature and stable individual who is able to cope with the emotional demands of working with families experiencing stress, trauma, economic hardship, and other life challenges.
  • Regulatory Demands: Must meet all requirements for program certification, training, and applicable state and federal regulations.
