Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of early childhood development theories and concepts.
• Ability to vary communication style to fit the situation and to persuade and influence outcomes.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support child health and development.
• Requirements vary by level: Level I bachelor’s degree; Level II bachelor’s with teaching cert and 1 year teaching; Level III master’s with cert or bachelor’s with 3 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides early intervention services in the family’s natural environment.
• Participates in family interviews and intake assessments.
• Develops and implements IFSPs with an interdisciplinary team.
• Monitors progress toward developmental goals and transitions services as needed.
• Maintains confidential records in compliance with regulations.
• Supervises subordinate staff (Level III).
• Delivers health, developmental, and educational services in home or childcare settings.
• Supports smooth transition from early intervention to school-based services.
