The Oklahoma State Department of Health is seeking a Special Educator I, II, or III – Temporary to provide health, developmental, and educational services to young children in their natural environments. The role involves screenings, assessments, and coaching families to enhance cognitive, language, and socio-emotional development.

Positions are part-time with responsibilities across home or childcare settings, collaboration on IFSPs, and supervision of staff as Level III.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field with teaching certificate (Level I).
• Level II requires additional one year post-baccalaureate teaching experience.
• Level III requires Master’s degree or 2–3 years of teaching experience with a valid teaching certificate.

Responsabilidades

• Provides early intervention services in the child and family’s natural environment to improve development.
• Participates in family interviews and conducts intake interviews and assessments.
• Works with interdisciplinary teams to develop and monitor IFSPs and IDEA-related plans.
• Determines eligibility and coordinates direct special education early intervention services.
• Maintains confidential records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
