Job summary

TheraCare is seeking a Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) to provide Early Intervention services for children from birth to age 3 in home and community settings on Staten Island. This role supports families and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to implement IFSP goals and deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current LMSW license issued by NYSED.
• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Experience working with children under 5 and/or families preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood development and family-centered practice.
• Ability to work independently and manage documentation deadlines.
• Access to reliable transportation to travel throughout the assigned borough.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Early Intervention services to children 0–3 in home and community settings.
• Provide support to families as part of an interdisciplinary EI team.
• Develop and implement strategies aligned with IFSP goals.
• Document services and maintain records in compliance with NYC EI program standards.
• Engage in ongoing communication with caregivers and related providers.
• Promote family capacity building through education and coaching.
