Job summary

Little Masters Development Center is seeking experienced Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) to provide evaluations for children from birth to three years old through New York City's Early Intervention Program.

Qualifications

  • Active New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license required.
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, children, and/or families preferred.
  • Experience conducting developmental, behavioral, psychosocial, or Early Intervention evaluations preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with families and other professionals.
  • Comfortable providing services in home and daycare settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete documentation accurately and within required timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive Supplemental Evaluations for infants and toddlers in accordance with NYC Early Intervention guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough parent/caregiver interviews to obtain information regarding the child's developmental, medical, social, behavioral, and family history.
  • Assess the child's strengths, needs, and functioning and provide appropriate recommendations based on evaluation findings.
  • Participate in the development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and establish functional, developmentally appropriate goals.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate evaluation reports, including assessment results, clinical observations, relevant background information, and recommended services.
  • Review and revise reports as needed to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Lead information conferences to review evaluation findings with families, address questions, and discuss recommended services and goals.
  • Advocate for children and families and collaborate with other professionals involved in the child's care.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including evaluation review, feedback, and clinical critique as needed.
  • Provide evaluations in home and/or daycare settings in accordance with Early Intervention requirements.
  • Complete and submit evaluations and required documentation electronically in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional communication and strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues throughout the evaluation process.
