Job summary

GOODWILL GULF COAST is seeking a Service Coordinator / Special Instructor to provide services to families with children ages 0-3 years with disabilities. The role involves intake, assessments, and development of IFSPs, with collaboration across education, medical, and rehabilitation teams.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in early childhood/special education, at least two years of relevant experience, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood/special education or related field.
• Two years of closely related experience in social work or human services.
• Minimum two years experience working with young children.
• Supervisory experience a plus.
• Strong computer skills, including word processing.
• Case Management Experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine Part C eligibility using system approved procedures and tools.
• Monitors the implementation and delivery of program activities ensuring that all assigned children receive services as indicated on IFSP.
• Maintains current records and ensures program compliance with State Department of Rehabilitation Services.
• Provides and maintains proper, updated and accurate documentation on each child concerning contact with parents, other professionals and service providers.
• Participates in state provided appraiser reviews with representatives of the state department of rehabilitation services.
• Schedules and facilitates each child's individual family service plan meetings within the timeframe dictated by state guidelines.
• Collaborates with educational, medical and rehabilitation staff for optimal case coordination and service delivery and to obtain optimal results of early intervention services.
