Job summary

Criterion Medford Early Intervention Program is currently seeking a full time Program Director. The role reports to Senior Director of Early Childhood Services and the Executive Director.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, recruitment, trainings, HIPAA compliance, and coordinating with physicians and community providers to support children birth to 3 years old. The position requires leadership in a trans-disciplinary team and collaboration with families and schools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred in related field.
• Three years pediatric experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Current Massachusetts registration, if applicable.
• Current malpractice insurance, if applicable. Obtain Department of Public Health Early Intervention Director Certification within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Relates effectively with children, families, and staff.
• Ensures documentation compliance with agency, state, and federal rules.
• Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Participates in recruitment and termination of staff.
• Provides orientation and training to staff; supervises all staff.
• Completes probationary and annual performance evaluations.
• Participates in screenings, assessments, and home visits as part of a trans-disciplinary team.
• Facilitates referrals to school systems and other community providers.
• Maintains communication with physicians and community agencies.
• Meets regularly with the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services.

We provide services in the home, at our early intervention centers, and in the community.

Job Description

This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services and the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:

• Possesses tact and courtesy when relating to children, parents and co-workers.
• Complies with all agency, state and federal documentation requirements.
• Maintains confidentiality as specified by agency policy, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Participates in recruitment and termination of staff.
• Provides orientation and training to staff.
• Provides supervision to all staff.
• Completes probationary and annual performance evaluations
• Participates in screenings, assessments, child groups, parent groups, center visits and home visits as a member of a trans-disciplinary team.
• Facilitates referrals to school systems and other community providers.
• Maintains appropriate communication with physicians, clinics and other community agencies.
• Meets with the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred from an accredited college in a field related to early childhood development, pediatric therapy or mental health.
• Three (3) years pediatric experience. Two (2) years supervisory experience.
• Current Massachusetts registration, if applicable.
• Current Malpractice Insurance, if applicable. Obtains Department of Public Health Early Intervention Director Certification within specified timelines.
