Job summary

Criterion Medford Early Intervention Program seeks a full-time Program Director to lead clinical and administrative operations. The role reports to the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services and the Executive Director, overseeing staff development, compliance, and service delivery in home, center, and community settings.

Ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a relevant field and 3+ years pediatric experience with 2+ years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred in early childhood development, pediatric therapy, or mental health.
• Three years pediatric experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Massachusetts registration, if applicable.
• Current malpractice insurance, if applicable.
• DPH Early Intervention Director Certification must be obtained within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Possesses tact and courtesy when relating to children, parents and co-workers.
• Complies with all agency, state and federal documentation requirements.
• Maintains confidentiality as specified by agency policy, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Participates in recruitment and termination of staff.
• Provides orientation and training to staff.
• Provides supervision to all staff.
• Completes probationary and annual performance evaluations.
• Participates in screenings, assessments, child groups, parent groups, center visits and home visits as a member of a trans-disciplinary team.
• Facilitates referrals to school systems and other community providers.
• Maintains appropriate communication with physicians, clinics and other community agencies.
• Meets with the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services on a regular basis.

The primary focus of early intervention is to provide education, training, and support to families to help their children learn and grow.
