Job summary

HSMC is seeking a full-time Program Director for the Medford Early Intervention Program. The role reports to the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services and the Executive Director and focuses on supervision, compliance, and program growth.

Responsibilities include staff orientation, evaluations, community referrals, and collaboration with healthcare providers to support children birth to 3 years old and their families.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years pediatric experience; 2 years supervisory experience.
• Massachusetts registration and license requirements, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees program operations and staff within the Medford Early Intervention Program.
• Ensures compliance with agency, state, and federal documentation requirements.
• Provides supervision, orientation, and training to staff.
• Facilitates referrals and maintains communication with physicians and community agencies.
• Meets regularly with the Senior Director and Executive Director.

The primary focus of early intervention is to provide education, training, and support to families to help their children learn and grow. We provide services in the home, at our early intervention centers, and in the community.

Job Description

Criterion Medford Early Intervention Program is currently seeking a full time Program Director.

This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services and the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:

• Possesses tact and courtesy when relating to children, parents and co-workers.
• Complies with all agency, state and federal documentation requirements.
• Maintains confidentiality as specified by agency policy, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Participates in recruitment and termination of staff.
• Provides orientation and training to staff.
• Provides supervision to all staff.
• Completes probationary and annual performance evaluations
• Participates in screenings, assessments, child groups, parent groups, center visits and home visits as a member of a trans-disciplinary team.
• Facilitates referrals to school systems and other community providers.
• Maintains appropriate communication with physicians, clinics and other community agencies.
• Meets with the Senior Director of Early Childhood Services on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college in a field related to early childhood development, pediatric therapy or mental health.
• Three (3) years pediatric experience. Two (2) years supervisory experience.
• Current Massachusetts registration, if applicable.
• Current Malpractice Insurance, if applicable. Obtains Department of Public Health Early Intervention Director Certification within specified timelines.
