Job summary

Easterseals Hawaii is seeking a Special Educator to support families using a Primary Service Provider model and evidence-based coaching. The role focuses on early intervention for children birth to age three with developmental delays and their families, delivering developmentally appropriate services in natural environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from an accredited program.
• Experience with early intervention and developmental delays preferred.
• Ability to work with families and professionals in a Primary Service Provider model.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to DOH-EIS, CARF and ESH guidelines.
• Plans and implements developmentally appropriate program for birth to age three.
• Participates as evaluator in EI services and supports families through evaluation.
• Administers and shares results from speech-language assessments.
• Develops IFSP outcomes with families and team.
• Maintains billable hours and DOH-EIS documentation.
• Provides services in natural environments (home, daycare, community).
• Participates in and coordinates transition planning for exiting the program.
