Job summary

All Kids Academy Head Start, Inc. is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher for the 2026-27 school year to deliver developmentally appropriate activities and high-quality, nurturing care in East County, CA.

You will work under the Center Director to create a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth, aligning with agency standards. Responsibilities include implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, assessing progress toward school readiness goals, and collaborating

Qualifications

• Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development with infant/toddler units and supervised field experience; ability to obtain Associate Teacher permit within 90 days of hire.
• Alternative: 12 semester units in ECE/Child Development including infant/toddler units plus Associate Teacher Permit at hire.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, nurturing, and inviting learning environment.
• Support the social, intellectual, and emotional development of children.
• Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers.
• Plan and coordinate learning experiences reflecting mandates, parental and cultural influences.
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors at all times.
• Complete assessments and screenings as required.
• Develop individualized activities based on parent input and developmental data.
• Promote parent involvement and regular two-way communication.
• Collaborate with teacher assistants, volunteers, and staff to plan activities.
• Incorporate cultural and family values into lesson plans.
• Ensure IFSPs and inclusion of children with disabilities.

Education

Assoc degree in ECE/Child Development
