Job summary

Save the Children US is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to support infants and toddlers with age-appropriate learning in a two-teacher classroom. You will work under the Center Director or Manager, Education & Inclusion to implement plans promoting social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

You will collaborate with families, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain records, and participate in professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a CDA or associate degree in child development or related field with early childhood coursework.
• Professional English proficiency in spoken and written form.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with families and teams to provide high-quality services.
• Knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized and group lesson plans for infants and toddlers.
• Lead classroom activities with a co-teacher and collaborate with staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations in the classroom.
• Document progress and maintain portfolios for each child.
• Engage families through conferences and home visits and support child development goals.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and supervise children at all times.
