Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The role includes documenting growth, upholding health and safety protocols, and collaborating with leadership to support child development.

The position requires a high school diploma and 1 year of related experience, plus Maryland child care certifications or CDA within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• CDA or related credential within 6 months of hire is preferred.
• Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assesses development and sets goals; plans individualized curriculum.
• Coaches for inclusion of children with special needs.
• Works with infant/toddler age groups independently.
• Oversees health, safety and well-being of center-based children.
• Adheres to safe sleep, health and safety protocols.
• Documents growth with observations, samples, and assessments.
