Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to contribute to planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate program for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. You will help create individualized curricula and support inclusive classrooms.

The role requires 1 year of related experience, a high school diploma, and relevant certifications (CDA within 6 months, 90-hour/4-hour infant-toddler, CPR/First Aid preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 1 year of progressive, related experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook required.
• CDA Infant/Toddler certification within 6 months of hire preferred.
• CPR/First Aid and other certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses development of children and sets goals for their development, plans individualized curriculum.
• Coaches to include children with special needs in regular activities.
• Works independently with infant and toddler age groups.
• Oversees health, safety, and well‑being of all center-based children.
• Adheres to safe sleep, health, and safety protocols.
• Documents children's growth using observations, samples, and assessments.
• Reports to Child Development Specialist, Lead Teacher, or leadership on programming.
