The Y in Central Maryland is hiring an Early Head Start Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing classroom for infants and toddlers, delivering developmentally appropriate activities and responsive care. You will collaborate with families and staff to support each child’s growth while adhering to program standards.

Strong emphasis on building trusting relationships, family engagement, and documentation of child progress.

Competenze

• Infant/toddler development knowledge and credentialing required or equivalent coursework.
• Experience in early childhood settings with infants/toddlers preferred.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills expected.

Mansioni

• Manage an Early Head Start classroom in accordance with COMAR regulations, Head Start standards, approved curriculum, and Y policies.
• Provide active supervision and maintain required adult-to-child ratios.
• Build secure, nurturing relationships with infants and toddlers through responsive care.
• Observe, assess, and document each child’s development and complete screenings.
• Coordinate family partnerships through daily communication and meetings.
