Job summary

Save the Children is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher in Eunice, LA. The role partners with a co-Teacher to implement infant and toddler education plans that promote social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth in developmentally appropriate ways.

You will collaborate with families, maintain records, conduct conferences and home visits, and uphold federal/state/local regulations while ensuring safe, nurturing classrooms.

Qualifications

• Must have a CDA or associate degree in child development, early childhood education, or related degree with relevant coursework.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated organizational and time-management abilities; problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to participate in professional development including basic first aid and pediatric CPR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized and group lesson plans for infants and toddlers.
• Lead activities with a co-Teacher; ensure safety and developmentally appropriate learning environments.
• Maintain accurate records and confidentiality.
• Engage families through conferences and home visits; document progress and observations.
• Collaborate with Program Aides and Volunteers to support classroom activities.
