Job summary

Northern Rivers Family of Services in Schenectady, NY, is seeking a full-time Early Head Start Teacher Aide to provide a safe, nurturing learning environment onsite for infants and toddlers. You will report to an Early Head Start Supervising Teacher and support curriculum, screenings, and family engagement.

Responsibilities include collaborating with a team, completing records, and following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with at least one year of experience working directly with children or a related degree with at least 6 months of experience.
• Enrolled within 30 days of hire in a program leading to a CDA or pursuing an Associate's/Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education with at least 12 credits.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and perform physically active tasks required.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, clean, and nurturing learning environment for infants and toddlers.
• Assist Supervising Teacher and work as part of a team, including completing records and data collection.
• Individualize curriculum based on each child's strengths and needs and facilitate ongoing screenings.
