York County Community Action Corp. is hiring an Early Head Start Lead Teacher to provide high-quality care and education for infants and toddlers in a warm, family-centered setting. You will partner with families to develop goals and coordinate daily classroom operations.

Qualifications

• Infant/Toddler CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood (preferred).
• Experience working with children in a center-based setting; supervising others preferred.
• Willing to work flexible hours to meet families’ needs.
• Immunized against MMR and TDaP.
• Able to pass a background check, including DHHS and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with families to develop child focused goals that meet individual needs.
• Planning, implementing and documenting a comprehensive child development program suitable for infants and toddlers.
• Building positive and supportive relationships with children and families.
• Assuming responsibilities for primary caregiving to ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinating the daily operations of the classroom while supervising the activities of 1 or more staff members.
