Job summary

York County Community Action Corp. is hiring a Classroom Support Aide for Head Start in Sanford, ME. You will assist teachers and nutrition staff, engage with children, and help maintain a safe, welcoming classroom.

A high school diploma or GED is required; funding for a CDA course is available within the first year. Immunizations and background checks are mandatory, and a sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Open to completing a fully funded CDA course within one year of hire.
• Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years; special needs preferred.

We are now hiring a Classroom Support Aide to join us in our mission of creating a warm and supportive environment where children and families can thrive.

Your role:

• Playing with children.
• Providing daily classroom support to teachers and nutrition staff.
• Completing tasks to ensure a clean, safe and inviting classroom for children to learn and explore.

Qualifications:

• Have a High School Diploma, GED or HSE equivalent.
• Be open to completing a fully funded CDA course within one year of hire
• Have experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years; special needs (preferred).
• Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).
• Must be able to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.
