York County Community Action Corp. (YCCAC) is seeking an Early Head Start Lead Teacher in Biddeford, ME.

This role focuses on partnering with families to set child-centered goals and delivering a comprehensive program for infants and toddlers within a supportive, family-centered classroom. The Lead Teacher will plan and document development activities, foster strong relationships with families, and supervise staff to ensure continuity of high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Infant/Toddler CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood (preferred).
• Experience with children in a center-based setting; experience with families and supervising others preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet families’ needs.
• Immunized against MMR and TDaP.
• Must pass a background check, including DHHS and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with families to develop child-focused goals.
• Plan, implement and document a comprehensive child development program for infants and toddlers.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with children and families.
• Assume primary caregiving responsibilities to ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinate daily classroom operations and supervise 1+ staff members.

Your role:

• Coordinating the daily operations of the classroom while supervising the activities of 1 or more staff members.
