Job summary

Tutor Time Childcare in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an energetic Lead Teacher for Early Head Start programs. You will plan, assess, and instruct based on each child's needs and Head Start requirements, helping prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond.

You will create engaging learning experiences, mentor fellow teachers, support classroom management, and build strong relationships with families to promote child achievement and center success.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or CDA in Infant/Toddler.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Create! Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.
• Call the shots! Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and Headstart program requirements.
• Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.

Early Head Start provides early education for children birth to 3 years old, parent involvement and family support, and comprehensive health and nutrition education for children. The Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing based on the needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.
