Job summary

Learning Care Group in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Lead Teacher for Arizona Early Head Start. You will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children birth to 3, assess progress, and ensure licensing standards are met while supporting families.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or CDA in Infant/Toddler.
• Experience planning preschool curricula and activities.
• Ability to meet state licensing and Head Start requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assess and instruct based on each child's needs and program requirements.
• Create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences and mentor peers.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation while ensuring licensing guidelines.

Arizona Early Head Start provides early education for children birth to 3-years-old,parent involvementand family support, and comprehensive health and nutrition education for children. The Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing based on the needs of each child, and the requirements of the program. We want change makers who never stop being curious, inventive, and open-hearted to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond.

As a Lead Teacher, you'll:

• Create! Develop fun,interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool childreninyour class.
• Call the shots! Take the lead onclassroom managementand curriculum implementation,plusbe an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and Headstart program requirements.
• Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center's success.

Wewant energetic, dependable, passionate individualswhoare at least 18 andhave:

• Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or CDA in Infant/Toddler
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
