Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Seattle in Redmond is seeking Early Education professionals to provide a nurturing, child-centered learning environment. You will develop activities and classroom plans while guiding staff and volunteers to support children’s growth within a caring program.

You will work in a supportive leadership team with ample resources, contributing to a culture that values communication, equity, and community impact for families served by the Y.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age or older.
• Experience working with children in similar age groups.
• Completion of STARS training is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with YMCA goals.
• Adapt activities to fit children's interests and learning styles.
• Supervise children to ensure health, safety, and positive experiences.
• Collaborate with Early Achievers and program quality groups.
• Communicate with parents through reports, newsletters, and conferences.
• Follow policies on medical, safety, and disciplinary procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
