Job summary

Save the Children is seeking a Program Aide in Jennings, Louisiana. You will support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with educational, relational and social activities, under supervision of the Education & Inclusion Manager or Center Director.

You may travel to different sites or conduct home visits as needed. Responsibilities include classroom support, assisting teachers, and safeguarding children with strict confidentiality and adherence to program standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Within 90 days of employment, obtain basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational, relational and social experiences for infants, toddlers and/or preschoolers.
• Assist classroom staff and substitute as needed for teachers.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality of children and families; adhere to program standards.
• May travel to various program sites and/or home visits as required.
