Save the Children US in Louisiana seeks a Program Aide to support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers through educational, relational, and social activities. You will work under the Education and Inclusion Manager or Center Director and may travel to program sites and home visits.

The role emphasizes child safety, adherence to Head Start standards, and strong teamwork. No formal degree required; training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Head Start or childcare certifications as applicable.
• Within 90 days, obtain basic first aid and pediatric CPR.
• Experience with infants, toddlers, or preschool children.
• Strong English communication; able to follow directions and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom staff in daily activities.
• Assist teachers during program operations and family events.
• Occasionally substitute for Assistant Teacher or Teacher.
• Handle kitchen and dining tasks as assigned.
• Ensure safety and confidentiality of children and families.
