Springfield Public Schools in Western Massachusetts seeks Classroom Para Educators to assist teachers in delivering a high-quality education program that meets diverse student needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 60 college credits or an Associate’s degree, or passing scores on ParaPro or WorkKeys.
• Ability to support instruction and manage classroom behavior.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior.
• Supervises students on field trip activities.
• Performs other support services and related duties as requested by Building Principal.
