Job summary

Senior Helpers of Las Vegas is seeking compassionate Early-Day Caregivers to support seniors at home, providing companionship, daily living assistance, and meal prep. You’ll help clients stay independent and engaged, with opportunities to build meaningful relationships and grow professionally.

Responsibilities include engaging clients in hobbies, reporting on condition and progress, and supporting walking, dressing, and safety. A hiring bonus is offered to new team members.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transport and clean driving record.
• Willingness to drive reasonable distances to clients’ homes.
• One year of field experience as a PCA or Home Health Aide preferred; we will train the right candidates.
• Be able to pass state and federal background checks and a drug screen.
• TB test and physical examination before starting; hiring bonus available to help with costs.
• CPR and First Aid certifications; we can assist with obtaining.
• Provide two personal and two professional references.
• Read, write and speak English fluently; authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and a helping hand with daily living activities.
• Engage clients in hobbies and activities (e.g., scrapbooking, gardening, games).
• Assist with meals and daily routines.
• Report completed activities and update on clients’ condition and behavior.

Your Role as an Early-Day Caregiver

Every day brings an opportunity to make a positive impact. As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you will provide a helping hand and companionship while assisting clients with their everyday needs.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Building relationships with clients through fun and engaging conversations.

• Participating in clients' favorite hobbies and activities, including scrapbooking, gardening, games, and more.

• Preparing meals for clients to enjoy.

• Assisting clients with walking, dressing, and other activities of daily living.

• Reporting completed activities and providing updates on clients' physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.

Qualifications for the Early-Day Caregiver Position

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Have a valid driver's license, valid auto insurance, reliable personal transportation, and a clean driving record.

• Be willing to drive a reasonable distance to clients' homes.

• Have one year of field experience as a PCA or Home Health Aide preferred. We will train the right candidates.
