Job summary

Senior Helpers of Las Vegas is hiring for immediate daytime caregiver openings. Join a supportive team with professional development opportunities and a sign-on bonus. Responsibilities include companionship, daily living assistance, meal prep, and documentation to ensure seniors live safely at home.

Qualified candidates have a driver’s license, reliability, and English fluency. Training is provided; background checks and a TB test are required prior to start.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel locally to reach client homes.
• One year of PCA or Home Health Aide experience is a plus, with comprehensive training provided.
• Ability to clear state and federal background checks and a drug screening.
• Current TB test and physical exam prior to start (hiring bonus offsets costs).
• CPR and First Aid certification (guidance provided to obtain).
• Two professional and two personal references.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

A Day in the Life of a Caregiver

Your core mission is to make home life safer, more comfortable, and highly enjoyable for local seniors.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Engaging in warm companionship and meaningful conversations.
• Supporting clients in their favorite pastimes, from board games to light gardening.
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals.
• Assisting with activities of daily living, including walking stability and dressing.
• Documenting daily progress updates regarding physical and behavioral well-being.

What We Look For (Requirements)

We welcome experienced professionals as well as individuals with an exceptional heart for caregiving who are eager to learn.
