Job summary

Senior Helpers of Las Vegas is seeking compassionate Early-Day Caregivers to join our in-home care team. Provide companionship and practical support to help seniors maintain independence and quality of life.

Role includes assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, and engaging clients in hobbies. A hiring bonus is available to new employees, with opportunities for training and professional growth in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Have a valid driver's license, valid auto insurance, reliable personal transportation, and a clean driving record.
• Be willing to drive a reasonable distance to clients' homes.
• Have one year of field experience as a PCA or Home Health Aide preferred; training provided.
• Pass state and federal background checks and a drug screen.
• Obtain a TB test and physical exam before starting work; a hiring bonus helps with costs.
• Obtain CPR and First Aid certifications; assistance available to obtain them.
• Provide two personal and two professional references.
• Read, write and speak English fluently; authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with clients through engaging conversations.
• Support clients in hobbies and activities they enjoy (scrapbooking, gardening, games).
• Prepare meals for clients to enjoy.
• Assist with walking, dressing, and activities of daily living.
• Report completed activities and provide updates on clients' condition and behavior.

Your Role as an Early-Day Caregiver

Every day brings an opportunity to make a positive impact. As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you will provide a helping hand and companionship while assisting clients with their everyday needs.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Building relationships with clients through fun and engaging conversations.

• Participating in clients' favorite hobbies and activities, including scrapbooking, gardening, games, and more.

• Preparing meals for clients to enjoy.

• Assisting clients with walking, dressing, and other activities of daily living.

• Reporting completed activities and providing updates on clients' physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.

Qualifications for the Early-Day Caregiver Position

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Have a valid driver's license, valid auto insurance, reliable personal transportation, and a clean driving record.
