Job summary

Senior Helpers of Las Vegas is seeking compassionate caregivers for morning shifts to support seniors in their homes. You will provide companionship, help with daily living activities, and assist with meals and mobility, while reporting client progress to families and supervisors.

The role offers a hiring bonus for new employees and opportunities for growth in a supportive team environment. A valid driver’s license, background checks, and CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a driver’s license, valid auto insurance, your own reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
• Be able to pass state and federal background checks and a drug screen.
• TB test and physical before starting; a hiring bonus may help with costs.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Provide two personal and two professional references.
• Read, write and speak English fluently; authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to learn new skills and organize assigned tasks.
• Be able to drive a reasonable distance for client service.

Responsibilities

What Does a Typical Day as a Caregiver Look Like?

As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you will provide a helping hand and companionship while supporting clients with their daily needs.

• Enjoy fun and engaging conversations with clients to build meaningful relationships.
• Participate in clients' favorite hobbies and activities, such as scrapbooking, gardening, playing games, and more.
• Prepare meals for clients to enjoy.
• Assist clients with walking, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
• Report completed activities and provide updates regarding clients' physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.

Caregiver Qualifications

• Must have a driver's license, valid auto insurance, your own reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and a willingness to drive a reasonable distance.
• One year of field experience as a PCA or Home Health Aide is preferred, but we will train the right candidates.
• Be able to pass state and federal background checks and a drug screen.
• Obtain a TB test and physical examination before beginning work. A hiring bonus is available to help with costs.
• Be CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Provide two personal references and two professional references.
• Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to learn new skills to better the lives of our clients.
• Have proficient communication skills.
• Be able to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
