Job summary

CRT in Hartford seeks a Teacher Assistant to support the Teaching Team in daily classroom routines, ensuring safety and developmentally appropriate education under the Instructional Leader. You will help with planning, documentation, and family engagement.

Responsibilities include implementing the curriculum, assisting with IEP/LEP needs, and following CACFP meal guidelines while maintaining professional collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Requires a CDA or 12 ECE credits to meet minimum educational requirement.
• CT Charts a Course Ladder Level 6 is required; CDA credentialing offered if not met.
• Must obtain CDA within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children by sight and sound at all times and ensure proper teacher-to-child ratios.
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and weekly plans as directed by the Instructional Leader.
• Engage with families daily, model positive guidance, and maintain professional interactions.
• Ensure CACFP guidelines are met for meals and related documentation.
