Qualifications:

• RN nursing degree from an accredited college or university
• Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois
• Current CPR/AED certification
• 2 years nursing experience in pediatrics, adolescent, community, and/or mental health preferred
• Illinois certification as a vision and hearing screening technician

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess, interpret, and provide healthcare, in both general and emergency situations, to students and staff to address safety and health concerns.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and treatments to support student health and well-being.
• Collaborate with students, parents, medical, and school personnel to manage healthcare, including creating care plans.
• Schedule, organize, record, and oversee health assessments, making referrals and follow-ups as needed.
• File mandated reports and maintain accurate health records to comply with laws.
• Provide health-related training for school personnel to support student health and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Serve as a resource to community health services for families and staff.
• Participate in professional development to maintain licensure and grow professionally.

Compensation:

$25.00 per hour, benefits as per the Wesmont Education Support Personnel Associations' contract. WESPA Contract
