Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher in Shawnee Mission, KS to supervise and care for children during day shifts. You will develop age-appropriate curricula, set monthly goals, and communicate with parents about daily activities while maintaining a clean, safe learning environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of experience preferred; First Aid/CPR/AED certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ year of teaching experience preferred.
• First Aid CPR AED certification preferred.
• Knowledge of curriculum standards for the age group.

Job Description

SIGN ON BONUS: $5,000

• COMPLIMENTARY CARE FOR ONE CHILD/INCREASED PAY RATES*

Shift: Full Time Days: 9:00am to 5:30pm

The Early Childhood Teacher supervises, interacts with, and ensures the safety of children at all times.

Develops and implements age-appropriate curriculum and monthly goals to meet children's developmental needs.

Communicates effectively with parents, greeting them and discussing their child's day.

Maintains sanitary conditions in the room and adheres to infection prevention policies.

Provides responsive care by adapting daily routines to the needs of individual children and the group.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Teachers must have a clear understanding of the curriculum standards for the age of the children in their classes.
• Lesson planning.
• Knowledge of computer skills.
• Classroom management skills.
• Communicates and problem-solves efficiently.
