Job summary

Scituate Public School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher to partner with parents, students and general education teachers in accordance with the district's mission and vision, while ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations and promoting student achievement.

The role includes direct instruction and instructional support for students with disabilities, collaboration with general education teachers, IEP development, data-driven decision making, and participation in IEP

Qualifications

• Experience with IEP development and implementation.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing special education.
• Ability to administer and interpret assessments.
• Strong collaboration with general education teachers and parents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for IEP team meetings and provide case management.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to monitor progress.
• Develop and monitor IEPs with measurable goals.
• Use data to guide instruction and improve outcomes.
• Maintain compliant special education records.
• Assist with transition planning for students at transition age.
