Job summary

Scituate Public Schools seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional (Group C) to assist students under the supervision of teachers across ECC, JEMS, TLP, i-Excel, and Learning Centers. The role includes 1:1/small-group instructional support and collaboration with staff to meet individualized education goals.

Responsibilities include test proctoring, behavioral support, materials prep, and data collection to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with behavioral management and ABA/Discrete trials preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work with students in varied settings.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom and specialized instruction by assisting students individually or in small groups.
• Proctor daily tests and standardized assessments (e.g., MCAS).
• Provide supervision, academic and behavioral support to students.
• Support classroom technology and assistive devices used by students.
• Implement behavior plans and accommodations as outlined in IEPs and 504 plans.
