Job summary

South St Paul Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Assistant at Lincoln Center Elementary School to support students with disabilities, implement IEPs and BIPs, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

The role involves assisting with daily living activities, behavior support, data collection, and collaboration with teachers and case managers, with duties aligned to district guidelines and training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with arrival/dismissal, bus loading, transitions.
• Support self-care needs per case manager.
• Monitor behavior and implement interventions.
• Assist instruction with modifications or accommodations.
• Support specialized programs per teacher direction.
• Follow IEPs and BIPs with fidelity.
• Ensure safety during recess and unstructured activities.
• Collect data and assist with assessments and progress records.
• Maintain records related to IEP services and billing.
• Communicate with teachers and case managers.
• Participate in trainings and adhere to district procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
