The role involves planning and executing age-appropriate STEAM activities that foster curiosity, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication among young children, ages 18 months- 5 years.

About Sherman ECC’s STEAM Program

Our STEAM program is designed to build on what young children already know, offering hands-on experiences that inspire wonder, inquiry, and joyful learning across all five domains: science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Children come to the STEAM classroom during the week to learn with the STEAM teacher, in a dedicated, fully equipped classroom, which is set for learning and exploration. Our outside spaces are seen as another classroom for the STEAM program. This class cultivates the Four C’s: Creativity, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Communication.

  • Document learning experiences through pictures and journaling for families and the school.
  • Collaborate with Sherman ECC team and families, participating in team meetings and parent engagement events.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported.
