Job summary

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is seeking an Early Childhood Professional Learning Specialist (Teacher-Citywide) to support instructional quality and staff development across the district.

You will collaborate with OECE leadership to design and implement professional learning opportunities for teachers, school leaders, and network staff, ensuring developmentally appropriate instruction for children from birth to second grade.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Valid Professional Educator License issued by the Illinois State Board of Education required.
• Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a focus on curriculum and instruction preferred.
• Early Childhood certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Professional Learning team to implement OECE vision for instructional quality.
• Plan, design, and facilitate professional learning experiences for a range of stakeholders.
• Design and lead curriculum and assessment projects supporting teachers and leaders.
• Support social/emotional learning implementation in early childhood classrooms.
• Coordinate with OECE staff and coaches to ensure program quality district-wide.
• Provide guidance to teachers, principals, and network staff on OECE strategy.
• Align practices from preschool through second grade.
• Stay current with research in early childhood education and professional learning.
• Perform other related duties as required.
