Chicago Public Schools seeks a licensed teacher to join our union team in Chicago. The teacher will plan and deliver instruction, assess student progress, and maintain records in alignment with CPS policies.

The role requires completion of student teaching and Illinois certification, with licensing options including PEL or ELS. The position supports professional collaboration and after-school activities within CPS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Successful completion of all student teaching requirements and certification by the Illinois State Board of Education.
• License Requirements: Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) with proper endorsement.
• Knowledge, Abilities, and Skill: Knowledge of subject matter and classroom management; ability to engage students.

Responsabilités

• Plan and provide written lesson plans aligned with instructional objectives.
• Deliver instruction, monitor pupil progress, and maintain records of achievement.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress and conduct.
• Participate in in-service meetings and school activities; support attendance initiatives.
