Job summary

Illinois Action for Children in Matteson, IL is seeking a Learning & Outreach Coordinator to lead professional development and family recruitment across our Early Learning programs. This role offers a mission-driven environment with opportunities to strengthen educator excellence and community engagement.

You will design training calendars, collaborate with managers and experts, and build relationships with families and community partners to expand access to high-quality early learning services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Experience coordinating educational or community outreach programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with standard office software and digital communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Professional Development Planning by creating and coordinating an annual training calendar.
• Partner with Managers and Subject Matter Experts to assess training needs and develop learning opportunities.
• Drive Family Recruitment and Community Outreach to increase enrollment and awareness.
• Monitor Training Compliance and Staff Development, maintaining records and licensure pathways.
• Evaluate and Improve Training Effectiveness through surveys and reporting.
• Manage Recruitment and Professional Development Data, budgets, and documentation.
• Represent the Organization in the Community through presentations and outreach activities.
• Develop relationships with educators, families, community partners and leadership teams.
