Job summary

The Lubbock Independent School District seeks an Early Childhood District Coach to improve teaching and learning by strengthening planning, differentiation, and data-driven instruction across elementary classrooms.

You will model best practices, support lesson design, provide targeted professional development, and collaborate with teachers to interpret assessment data and implement standards, all under the district's framework.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of curriculum, instruction and assessment.
• Ability to organize, coordinate, and facilitate instruction.
• Ability to interpret data.
• Ability to provide ongoing, targeted professional development.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Increase the quality and effectiveness of classroom instruction using the gradual release model.
• Collaborate, co-plan, model, co-teach, and provide descriptive feedback.
• Support implementation of effective instructional strategies including assessment for learning.
• Promote standards through adopted curricula and build teacher content knowledge.
• Facilitate data-driven instructional decisions by analyzing formative and summative data.
• Engage teachers in reflective thinking and analytical practice to improve instruction.
• Pursue continuous learning through professional development opportunities and weekly meetings.
• Design and facilitate professional learning per LISD Instructional Frameworks.
