Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an early childhood educator to design and implement curriculum-based activities, supervise children, and ensure safety throughout indoor and outdoor activities. The role requires knowledge of Head Start standards, conducting Brigance screenings, developing weekly plans and individualized IEP/ISFP plans based on assessments, and documenting observations.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's in child development with experience; minimum Associate degree; strong

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate degree in Child development.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in child development with one year of demonstrated experience in childcare or related field, or currently enrolled in college.
• Strong knowledge of theories and practices of Early Childhood Development in Head Start.
• Working knowledge of Head Start and State Child Care regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate activities based on curriculum and children's interests.
• Provide constant active supervision of children during all activities, indoors and outdoors.
• Screen children using Brigance (Early Childhood Screen III 3-5 years) to meet 45‑Day compliance.
• Develop weekly group lesson plans; implement individualized IEP/ISFP plans within two weeks of screening/assessment.
• Conduct anecdotal observations weekly and administer CPI assessments three times per school year.
• Initiate referrals for behavioral concerns, document findings, and follow up bi-weekly until addressed.
