Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a dedicated early childhood educator to design and implement developmentally appropriate activities and manage daily classroom operations. The role emphasizes curriculum-based learning, observation, screening, and individualized planning to support each child’s growth within Head Start guidelines.

The candidate will conduct weekly observations, maintain records, and collaborate with families and staff to ensure a safe, healthy learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in ECE or related field is required/preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Head Start standards and regulatory environment.
• Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Proficient computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Design and set up a classroom and learning centers based on curriculum and children’s interests.
• Provide daily supervision of children during indoor, outdoor, and nap times.
• Develop developmentally appropriate activities for each child.
• Screen and assess children according to agency schedules.
• Maintain Education Records for each child and report attendance.
