Job summary

Primrose School at Brier Creek in Raleigh, NC is hiring a Lead Early Childhood Teacher to foster a nurturing preschool environment. You will implement balanced learning curriculum, build strong parent and staff relationships, and guide young learners through engaging activities.

We provide a structured schedule, ongoing training, and a supportive leadership team to help you grow in your role within a licensed early childhood program.

Qualifications

• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency.
• Must have a NC Background Check Qualifying Letter from the NCDCDEE.
• 2 or 4 year degree in early childhood or related field preferred.
• Current TB and Physical Required (within the last year).
• Current Background Check Qualifying Letter with the NC Division of Child Development required.

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that are created for you.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning space.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community.

Desired skills and Qualifications

• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency

• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
