IDEA Public Schools seeks an Early Childhood Co-Teacher to support Tier 1 instruction for Prekindergarten through Grade 2 under the direction of the lead teacher. Qualifications

• Education: At least 48 college hours required or bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.
• Experience: 1+ year(s) of experience working with children in a classroom or volunteer setting.
• Knowledge: Basic knowledge of early childhood development and instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational development of students under the direction and guidance of the classroom teachers.
• Assist classroom teachers with maintaining student records.
• Support Tier 1 core instruction under the direction of the lead teacher, ensuring all students can access grade-level learning.
• Actively facilitate small-group instruction and intervention groups based on student data and teacher planning.
• Monitor student learning and needs during instruction and provide feedback and support.
• Communicate students’ progress with student and family on a weekly basis.
• Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system that aligns to campus-wide initiatives while developing students’ character and sense of community in the classroom.

Education
