Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Early Childhood Co-Teacher to support Tier 1 instruction for Prekindergarten to Grade 2 under the supervision of a lead teacher. You will facilitate small-group learning and provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports to help all students thrive.

The role is grant-funded under Title IV Part A and paid hourly from $16.05 to $20.33, with full commitment to on-site duties and a 12-month payout cycle.

Qualifications

• Education: At least 48 college hours or bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience: 1+ year working with children in classroom or volunteer setting.
• Basic knowledge of early childhood development and instructional practices.
• Ability to work with young learners in various group settings.
• Strong organizational and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational development of students under the direction of classroom teachers.
• Assist with maintaining student records.
• Support Tier 1 core instruction under the lead teacher.
• Facilitate small-group instruction and intervention based on data and planning.
• Monitor student learning and provide feedback to students and families.
• Communicate student progress weekly to families.
• Participate in weekly meetings and after-school duties as needed.
• Engage in district and school learning opportunities.
• Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week.
