Qualifications

• Knowledge of child growth and development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• DCF 45-hour training required; CDA certification preferred.
• Strong communication with families and staff across diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the classroom as needed.
• Familiarize self with the day’s planned activities.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities for each child.
• Provide a nurturing, safe environment and positive guidance.
• Maintain documentation and portfolios as needed.
• Follow health, safety, and confidentiality procedures.
