The Learning Experience in Wayne, NJ is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support early childhood education programs. The role supports the Lead Teacher in maintaining a nurturing classroom, guiding children through activities, and delivering CARE with safety and professionalism.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 18+, and a willingness to meet New Jersey licensing requirements. This position offers a meaningful environment and opportunities for growth with LEAP Curriculum®.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education preferred.
• Must meet New Jersey childcare licensing and employment requirements.
• Must complete required background checks, health screenings, and safety training.
• Must demonstrate patience, sound judgment, professionalism, and commitment to children’s well-being.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Lead Teacher to maintain a welcoming, organized classroom.
• Engage with children through play, songs, stories, and activities.
• Assist with daily classroom routines, transitions, and activities.
• Encourage positive behavior with patience and age-appropriate management.
• Support implementation of LEAP Curriculum® and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain health, safety and daily caregiving per center policies.
• Communicate with families and participate in staff meetings.
