Job summary

The Learning Experience Wayne is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide early childhood classrooms with passion and strong leadership. You’ll mentor Assistant Teachers, uphold a safe, engaging environment, and drive development through our LEAP Curriculum.

You’ll foster family connections, communicate effectively, and participate in ongoing professional growth to ensure every child reaches key milestones and feels valued at school.

Responsibilities

• Own daily classroom operations to create a safe, organized, welcoming learning environment.
• Provide direction and support to Assistant Teachers and staff.
• Delegate tasks while maintaining accountability for routines and expectations.
• Model positive interactions and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
• Establish consistent routines and transitions to support learning.
• Collaborate with center leadership to address needs and improvements.
• Plan and implement LEAP Curriculum with creativity and enthusiasm.
• Observe progress, document development, and guide instruction.
• Prepare for parent conferences and share meaningful insights.
• Engage children through songs, stories, movement, play, and activities.
• Maintain health, safety, and classroom organization per policies.
